I know all about this one with my Left to Rights. It mainly occurs for me when I've had a few weeks break and come back hitting the ball with a slice. I don't feel that there is anything to worry about as I know it will come back to the flag if I aim 2-5 yards to the left.

What you do have to understand as a slicer is that the club must be cutting across the line from out side to in at some point in the swing. Most slicers have a closed club face at impact then pull across the line and impart more of the left to right spin. It can also happen when the shaft crosses the line on the backswing. Then all that happens is the club comes down on the line of the body. If you release the club you would hit a pull way left of your target. So you will hold on and not release the club therefore you hit a slice.
