For me I have a couple of ways to hit the low shot. Say for The Open
Championship in the U.K.
- The best way to hit a low ball is to keep your hands ahead of the clubface
at impact. That way the golf ball will fly of the clubface with a lower
trajectory and still be able to stop on the green.
- After contact, I try and abbreviate my follow through to help keep the
flight down.
- Another way to hit the ball lower is to turn your hip through the shot
earlier than you would. This will de-loft the club face and start the ball
out on a lower flight.
