Kingston Heath Golf Club, 10th hole
The
Australasian Tour has come a long way since I joined the professional
ranks in 1986. Our tournaments have always been played on great golf
courses all across Australia from Perth to Sydney, Hobart to the Sunshine
Coast. As most of the tournaments are played close to the ocean, therefore
at some stage you will have a strong wind to contend with. This wind will
normally take the moisture out of the greens, making them very hard and
difficult to hold. This is normally the scenario in most major
championships today. Thus this is one of our advantages of playing
the Australasian Tour. Not to mention being able to travel our great land.
The Australasian PGA Tour for 2005 will be played
over the calendar year.
