Sun Chlorella Classic

Otaru Country Club
Hokkaido, Japan
Course Length: 7,532 yards    Par 72
Fairways: Bent grass    Greens: Bent grass
Defending Champion: Ryo Ishikawa

This year will be the 11th Sun Chlorella Classic, 7 have been played on the Otaru Country Club. Which is widely regarded as one of the better courses in Japan.

With soft fairways the ball is not rolling out and playing quite long. The fairways are lined both sides large maples, awaiting the stray drive. At the moment the greens are receptive and they are rolling straight and true.

It is amazing playing in Japan. Most of the golf courses that we play are built on mountains. We come up to Sapporo where the ski fields are and we get flat courses.

This course reminds me a lot of the New Zealand golf courses, in particular Clearwater Resort.

4th hole     Par 3     192 yards
